Financial courses under discussion

The Department for Innovation, Universities and Skills is talking to voluntary bodies about introducing new finance qualifications for the sector.

A DIUS spokesman said: "We have asked third sector representative bodies if they will work with the Learning and Skills Council on this." Tom Fitch, chief executive of Cash, which provides accountancy training to small charities, has called on the Government to fund a National Vocational Qualification in charity accountancy (17 September, page 4)....
