Battle to run local infrastructure

Voluntary sector organisations across Leicestershire have been forced to battle it out for a £1m contract to provide a county-wide infrastructure service because they were unable to agree on how it should be provided.
Leicestershire County Council decided to streamline infrastructure funding for the sector, totalling £1.4m, and hoped local organisations would be able to agree on how a countywide service would work.
