Most organisations will not be altering recruitment strategies, survey finds
More than half of voluntary sector organisations have no plans to change their recruitment strategies, despite the recession, according to a poll of charity finance professionals.
The research into charity finance salaries and working conditions, carried out by the Charity Finance Directors' Group and Hays Recruitment, gathered 563 responses from charity finance professionals at all levels.
"More than half of our respondents indicated that they felt there would be no impact on recruitment plans as a consequence of the recession," the report said.
However, about one in 10 said that recruitment in their organisation had been frozen.
The survey found that flexible working, holidays and pension provision were the most important benefits for staff when they were considering changing organisation.
The research also found that salaries for charity finance professionals of all levels ranged from £13,300 to £140,000 a year.
