The cancer charity was selected through a vote by the bank's staff
Santander has chosen Clic Sargent as its charity of the year for 2013.
The bank said it hoped to raise £800,000 to fund for a year the charity’s eight Homes from Home, which provide places for families to stay while their children are receiving cancer treatment.
Clic Sargent, which provides clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help children and young people cope with cancer, was chosen by a Santander staff vote.
Lorraine Clifton, chief executive of Clic Sargent, said: "We are delighted to have been chosen by Santander staff as their charity of the year. This partnership will help ensure that children and young people with cancer, and their families, continue to receive the right care and support at a time when they need it the most."
Jonathan Elliott, community manager at Santander, said: "We’re looking forward to working with Clic Sargent next year. We have events planned across the UK to bring together our staff to make a difference for the charity.
"Fundraising for our charity of the year partners has grown year on year and we’re confident that this will continue in 2013."
Santander’s charity partner for 2012 is Marie Curie Cancer Care.
