UK 'falling behind on digital media'

The Charity Commission could learn a lot from the use of digital media in other countries, according to chief executive Andrew Hind.
Speaking after a conference in New Zealand last week for regulators from common law traditions, Hind said the US regulator required charities with incomes of less than $25,000 (£12,600) to file their accounts electronically, and that the Canadian regulator no longer printed any of its documents.
"We'll probably go down the same road," he said.
Hind was also impressed by the US regulator's interactive trustee training website, which features cartoon trustees.
He said he would also be studying a US report on the public benefit of private hospitals, as well as campaigning guidance produced by the US and Canada.
