CFDG promotes sustainability online

By David Ainsworth, Third Sector, 20 August 2008

The Charity Finance Directors' Group has published a series of commitments to sustainability to encourage its members to be more environmentally aware.

The sector umbrella group has launched a page on its website with details of its approach, which it hopes will serve as a template for other sector organisations.

The page includes a link to a detailed sustainability action plan, as well as an update on sustainability reporting guidance, which will be published in spring.

Keith Hickey, chief executive of the group, said: "At CFDG we are demonstrating a sustainable approach to our work to retain the confidence of our members and thus our ability to aid and support them."
