Action for Children is new Hays charity partner

Recruitment consultancy in one-year tie up with children's charity

Action for Children has been selected by staff at recruitment company Hays as its new charity partner.

Hays previously had a three-year relationship with Marie Curie Cancer Care, which raised £483,000.

The new partnership, announced this week, is initially for one year, although it could be extended.

A Hays spokeswoman said the company aimed to generate £40,000 for the children's charity, which changed its name from NCH last year, although pledges for its first fundraising event had already exceeded £60,000.

The company, which employs almost 9,000 people worldwide, has agreed to match staff fundraising efforts by up to £40,000 at the end of the year.
