Actor relives trek in Scope display

Actor Brian Blessed became part of a living billboard in an Oxford Street shop window yesterday when he took part in a promotion for Scope.

Blessed, a keen explorer, joined a team of 10 fellow trekkers to help form a five-day live display at Waterstone's flagship London store to celebrate 10 years of Scope treks, which have raised £21m.

Each explorer is using a treadmill to re-walk some of the 16.3 million miles covered by more than 6,000 participants on foot, by bicycle and on skis since the treks were launched in 1996.
