Anand Shukla to join Brightside as chief executive

Plus: Julie Whelan, Philip Mansbridge, Jude Bridge and Celia Richardson

Anand Shukla will join the young people's education and mentoring charity Brightside as chief executive in February. He is currently chief executive of the Family and Childcare Trust.

Julie Whelan has been appointed chief executive of Nordoff Robbins, a music charity for vulnerable children and adults. She was previously chief executive at the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust.

Philip Mansbridge has joined the International Fund for Animal Welfare as UK director. He previously held the position of chief executive at Care for the Wild International.

Jude Bridge has been appointed executive director of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Bridge, who was global brand director at the retailer Mothercare, will lead a new directorate encompassing marketing, fundraising, communications, policy and public affairs.

Celia Richardson has been appointed director of communications and marketing at English Heritage. She was formerly director of communications and policy at Social Enterprise UK.
