Anglo-Scottish group set to meet

The Institute of Fundraising's first working group on cross-border fundraising meets next week to discuss the development of protocols for organisations that operate in Scotland, England and Wales.

The six-point agenda will discuss issues such as dealing with the media, the type of language used in fundraising - for example the appropriateness or otherwise of words such as 'national' or 'regional' - the geographical remit, media coverage, legacies and corporate partnerships.

Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the Institute of Fundraising, is chairing the event.

He said: "It's an opportunity to look at areas of detail that can be finessed and take stock of areas of fundraising that need work."

John Brady, director of fundraising at Sense Scotland said: "We need to be clear which bits of the UK we are working in."
