Ofcom publishes community radio volunteering guidelines

Media regulator Ofcom has published a set of guidelines for community radio stations that use volunteers to make it easier to calculate the proportion of income they are allowed to receive from sponsorship.

Community Radio: Volunteer Input has sections on how to define a volunteer, requirements for reporting, current legislation on volunteering and rates for calculating value. The Community Media Association will produce more detailed guidance soon....
