Charity Finance Directors' Group changes name to Charity Finance Group

Rebranding to mark organisation's 25th anniversary reflects the fact that it does not exist only for finance directors

The Charity Finance Directors’ Group will change its name tomorrow to the Charity Finance Group.

The new name, which will be adopted at a reception to celebrate the group’s 25th anniversary, is intended to reflect the fact that the group does not exist solely for finance directors.

The group will also have a new strapline in its logo, "Inspiring financial leadership", which will replace "Promoting best practice in charity finance" .

Caron Bradshaw, its chief executive, said: "We believe the time is right to change our name to reflect the diversity of the people we support – and the breadth and depth of what we do.

"Our new identity is a natural evolution for us, reflecting our role in raising the standards of charity finance and supporting all those with responsibility for charity finance irrespective of their titles."

The CFG will also change its membership scheme. Currently, charities can register only one person as a member. In the future, charities will be able to register a second person as a member for free, and to add further members at discounted fees. All members will receive the same benefits.
