Visitors to the Nostell Priory, a National Trust property in West Yorkshire, will continue to be able to enjoy The Procession to Calvary, thanks to the campaign, which bought the painting for the trust from Lord St Oswald, whose family owned the priory until 1954.

The money was raised by the National Trust, the Art Fund and the National Heritage Memorial Fund.

The picture depicts art lovers savouring the masterpiece at York Art Gallery before it returns to Nostell Priory in February.
