Consultancy firms offer free communications services to charities

The broadcast PR firm Markettiers and the helpline provider Connect Assist are seeking applications and will offer their services to one charity each

Two consultancy firms have given charities the chance to enhance their communications by offering their services for free.

The broadcast PR company Markettiers and the helpline provider Connect Assist are both looking to provide free consultancy support to a single charity.

Markettiers said that its chosen charity would benefit from access to the firm’s PR broadcast expertise and the use of its studios, video crews and research teams.

Charities that want to apply to be its partner will need to provide an overview of the organisation, what they currently do in terms of PR, what their aims are and details of any planned campaigns to The deadline for applications is 9 September.

Connect Assist is also offering five days of consultancy on communications to a charity working on a project that presents clear objectives and measurable impact.

The offer, which has been made in partnership with the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, will provide the successful charity with a thorough audit of its communications channels, as well as feedback on the best ways to maximise these and ensure the success of its project.

Connect Assist says that the value of the services on offer is about £5,000.

The deadline for applications is 31 August and the chosen charity will be announced in October. To apply, charities should email to request an entry form.

There is no limit on the number of individual projects a charity can submit.
