Crisis appoints chief executive

Graham Willgoss

Crisis has named Leslie Morphy as its new chief executive. She moves from her position as UK director of programmes and policy at the Prince's Trust.

Morphy will take over when the current chief, Shaks Ghosh, stands down at the beginning of November after nine years at the helm.

"Leslie has impeccable credentials and is the ideal person to take Crisis forward in developing our learning and skills agenda," said Ghosh, who is yet to announce her plans for the future.

"Her vision and experience fill me with great confidence that the future of Crisis is in capable hands," she added.

Morphy said: "Taking over from Shaks Ghosh will be a challenge, but a great challenge to have."
