CRUK smashes a partners record

Cancer Research UK secured nine corporate partnerships in February - a record for a single month.

The latest organisations to join are Adecco, Alliance & Leicester, Hallmark Cards, Michael Page International, Standard Life, Visa Europe and Weber Shandwick Financial.

Britain's biggest charity appointed Paul Farthing, former managing director of direct marketing agency Target Direct, as its first director of corporate partnerships last year. It now has 60 corporate partners.

Masterfoods and Ocean Spray also agreed to support Race for Life 2007, which begins on 2 May with the goal of raising £60m - £10m more than last year.
