Face-to-face fundraisers at the event recruited 108 regular donors to support the Fundraisers Fund. The average donation was £120 a year, despite a suggested donation of £25 a month. One US donor, however, pledged $500 a year.
The online fund, launched at the conference, was set up to provide training bursaries for fundraisers in the developing world.
Simon Collings, chief executive of the Resource Alliance, which developed the scheme, said he was delighted with the response and would begin promoting the fund globally.
"We will be looking worldwide for corporate partners and champions at large non-profits who will help us promote the fund to colleagues," he said.
