Charities and social enterprises have been invited to apply for a place on a new three-year corporate social responsibility programme launched by the professional services firm Deloitte.

The Society Partnership programme combines the firm’s previous charity partnership programme and its Social Innovation Pioneers programme, which was designed to help social enterprises grow and become investment-ready.

The new programme will work with up to 40 charity partners and social enterprises across the UK to support them in providing services that help to improve people’s employment prospects.

Successful organisations will receive pro-bono support from Deloitte, discounted rates for the firm’s services and fundraising support, plus a share of funds raised through the scheme.

Deloitte said it was difficult to predict how much would be raised because the new programme would be focused more than previous schemes on fundraising at regional offices, rather than on a national scale. The firm raised more than £2m for its three national charity partners in its last two partnerships combined.

To be eligible, organisations must be able to articulate how they have a positive effect on people’s employment futures, either through raising their aspirations, improving their skills or developing leaders.

This could be through work in their local communities with young people, with people who are not in employment, education or training, with those who have been out of work due to illness or those who are moving careers.

Applications are invited from all types of UK-based organisations but only registered charities will benefit fully from the programme, according to Deloitte. Applicants should not be religious, political or have animals as beneficiaries.

Claire Burton, head of corporate responsibility at Deloitte, said: "We have set an ambitious target to focus our efforts on affecting a million futures, and we are seeking innovative and exciting new society partners to help us achieve this in the UK. We are looking forward to seeing a broad range of organisations apply and working together to really make an impact that matters."

The deadline for applications is 14 February. Further information on how to apply can be found at www.deloitte.co.uk/societypartnerships.
