What takes up more of your energy: finance or facilities? Flexibility is hugely important in a small charity. Finance always consumes at least two weeks of the month. The facilities part – otherwise known as the tasks that nobody else wants to do – is more unpredictable.

How does working for a charity compare with the private sector? Apart from the general lack of money in charities, the main difference is the total lack of back-biting and office politics compared with the private sector.

Friday exercises are set to music!
