Finance: Money matters: David Ainsworth's round-up of what's happening in the finance world

Kate Rogers will take over as chair of the Charity Investors Group, the forum for charity investors and fund managers. Rogers, client director for investment house Schroders, will take up her position at the group's next meeting on 24 September.

The Charity Finance Directors' Group has announced a merger with sector collaborative procurement organisation the Charities Consortium.

The consortium will be reconstituted as CFDG's Large Charities Special Interest Group. It will continue to work with its development groups for IT, insurance and procurement professionals in the sector.

The two organisations already have a joint chair in Charles Nall, corporate services director of the Children's Society.

Futurebuilders has formed a partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland to offer co-financing options to third sector organisations.

The two organisations will also set up a scheme to refer potential clients to one another. "We're excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with RBS to help more third sector organisations access the finance they need," said Sue Peters, managing director of investments at Futurebuilders.

A meeting for users of customer relations management software Salesforce, which is free to charities, will take place tomorrow at Can Mezzanine from 10.30am to 1pm. The user group meeting will feature a presentation from consultants and Salesforce expert Astadia on future releases.
