The NCVO has appointed Claire Glossop as its new head of sustainable funding.
Glossop moves from the British Council to succeed Nick Wilkie, who has joined the Young Foundation.
She will be responsible for managing the umbrella body's sustainable funding project, which encourages voluntary organisations to generate income through trading goods and services. The project also works with local development agencies, policy-makers and funders to finance voluntary bodies beyond short-term grant dependency.
Glossop has a background in the voluntary and arts sectors. A former curator, she went on to work for Arts Council England, with responsibility for the funding and development of the visual arts in London.
The sustainable funding project is funded by Centrica, the Big Lottery Fund, Charity Bank, Futurebuilders and Triodos Bank. It has funding until 2006.
