Finance News: Age Concern gives How finance role to take lead on funds

Age Concern has appointed Alan How as its new finance director.

How joins from outsourcing company Charity Business, where he was director of consulting.

He was formerly finance director of the Consumer's Association. He succeeds Roger Pashley, who has retired.

Gordon Lishman, director general of Age Concern England, commented: "Sound financial direction is essential for Age Concern to work successfully with older people. Alan's experience will form the basis for our progress on fundraising and campaigning in the years ahead.

"He will continue the excellent work done by Roger Pashley who has made an enormous contribution during his time with the organisation."

How worked on the launch of the new products during his time at the Consumer's Association and has also worked in the private sector for companies including Boots.
