Baigent, a charity website development agency, is organising a series of seminars to advise charities on how to make the most of their online fundraising technology.

 The sessions will focus on designing an effective donations process and will be held in London on 17 and 25 April, and 1 May.

The Charity IT Resource Alliance is to hold a debate in London on 18 April about the use of open-source software. The exact terms of the discussion will be decided by a poll on the organisation's website (www.citra.org.uk). The event is free for Citra members. Non-members must pay £20.

Sayer Vincent, a consulting and auditing firm, is inviting third sector organisations to join its Information Systems Benchlearning Forum 2007. The forum is open to charities with more than 50 paid staff and will cover information security and project management. The meetings will take place on 17 April, 26 June and 13 September.

The Charities Aid Foundation is to launch a social enterprise insurance scheme that will return approximately 40 per cent of its profits to the charity sector. CaSE Insurance will offer a risk package based on trustee indemnity insurance, with optional fidelity, professional indemnity and employment practices cover.
