FINANCE NEWS: DCMS and Wolfson Foundation deliver museum grant aid

The Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Wolfson Foundation have awarded grants worth £2 million to 14 museums and galleries across England.

The joint grants programme is intended to improve the quality of displays, improve public spaces and increase disabled access.

Arts minister Estelle Morris said: "These grants will help museums and galleries in England improve facilities for children, the presentation of their collections and make them welcoming to all."

Lord Wolfson, chairman of the Wolfson Foundation said: "The trustees of the Wolfson Foundation are delighted to be in partnership with the Department in the programme of renovations and improvements to museums and galleries, encouraging the public to visit their collections."
