Free CRM software for charities

NCVO teams up with software company to offer its members up to £10,000 each of customer relationship management software

Voluntary organisations are being invited to apply for free subscriptions to customer relationship management software worth up to £10,000.

A business partnership between umbrella body the NCVO, Sho-net Systems, which provides training services for the voluntary sector, and technology company the Salesforce.com Foundation is offering NCVO members up to 10 subscriptions each to Salesforce.com's customer relationship management program. Each subscription is worth about £1,000.

The program has been customised by Sho-net Systems for third sector organisations and includes features to help manage donors and volunteers, a crisis-response package and an accountancy tool.

Stuart Etherington, chief executive of the NCVO, said: "The new application will enable members to manage more efficient fundraising schemes, collate data on membership and beneficiaries and contribute towards improving their general administration."
