The Landmark Trust is to mail visitors to its properties within days of their departure as part of a new donor recruitment strategy. Creative agency TDA has developed a mailing system that is triggered to arrive shortly after visits. Head of fundraising Jacky Wilson said: "This is the first part of an important shift in direct mail fundraising for the Landmark Trust, from an appeal-based strategy to committed giving. We have worked closely with TDA to identify potential areas of growth in the relationship with our customers, so we can more easily turn them into long-term givers.
Sarah Woodford, senior account manager at TDA, said it was ironic that many people who stayed in historic buildings through the Landmark Trust weren't aware how vital funds are to the charity and the new strategy would address this.
