It was a case of 'here come the brides' as workers at one charity shop in Scotland dressed up in bridal gowns in support of World Wedding Dress Day last week.

Staff and volunteers at Barnardo’s Scotland's shop in Blairgowrie, Perth & Kinross, donned their wedding day garb in support of the annual day, run by weekly gossip magazine Take a Break.

The group promenaded through the town to raise money for Barnardo’s.

Jane Townsley, who manages the shop, said the group was very excited about taking part in World Wedding Dress Day, which is in its third year.

'It is very much about having fun while raising awareness and funds for vulnerable children who are helped by the charity', she said.
