Fundraising: Duncan to leave Scottish charity

Helen Barrett

Fiona Duncan, former chair of the Institute of Fundraising in Scotland, is leaving her post as director of external affairs at Capability Scotland to become a fundraising consultant.

Duncan led the Giving Scotland campaign to rebuild confidence in Scottish Charities after a series of scandals in 2003. She will join Think Consulting Solutions from 2 October.

"I would like to look at crisis management," said Duncan. "Being involved with Giving Scotland has shown me how difficult it can be for organisations to get moving when a crisis hits. I would also like to work around merging the communications and fundraising functions."

Duncan worked for seven years in various senior roles at Capability Scotland.
