Fundraising guide targets small charities

Directory of Social Change founder Michael Norton has written a new book giving advice to small charities and community groups about how to run a successful fundraising campaign.

The book, called Need to Know? Fundraising, covers topics such as identifying potential supporters, organising fundraising activities and applying for grants from trusts, companies and government sources, as well as planning an overall fundraising strategy.

Norton, who started life as a merchant banker, was awarded an OBE in 1998 for his services to charity.

The book is published by Collins and is available from the usual outlets, including Amazon.
