FUNDRAISING NEWS: Alzheimer's Society cashes in on Anne

Anne Robinson, presenter of the BBC1 quiz show The Weakest Link, is to use her legendary rudeness as a fundraising tool for the Alzheimer's Society.

She pledged to donate £1 to the charity every time she is rude to someone on the programme, in an attempt to inspire 200 guests at the society's 25th anniversary dinner, held earlier this month, to add their support.

The charity hopes the commitment will amount to quite a sum of money given Robinson's famed talent for abusing contestants, and the fact she has been contracted to present a further 160 episodes of the show.
