Fundraising news in brief

GoodFund has announced the charities that will benefit from its north-east England Postcode Lottery this year.

Help the Aged, the Northumberland Wildlife Trust, the Percy Hedley Foundation, Daisy Chain and Mencap North East will all receive funds.

Bluefrog, the charity fundraising and communication agency, will reveal the findings of research into 'middle donors' at a free seminar in London on 30 March. The agency defines middle donors as those that give significant one-off donations to cash appeals. Those wishing to attend should email their details to rsvp@bluefroglondon.com.

Fight for Sight's new chief executive, Michele Acton, is to run the London Marathon on 22 April. Last year the eye disease charity's 16 runners raised more than £20,000.

eFreeko, a new listings website that allows people to list unwanted items to give away, is offering free advertising space to charities on its homepage. Interested groups should apply to admin@efreeko.co.uk.
