Fundraising News: Kids appoints new fundraising chief to forge network links

Kids, the children's disability charity, has appointed Jackie Mendoza as director of fundraising.

She replaces Stuart Wilson, who recently moved to the Royal National Lifeboat Institute.

Mendoza, a former assistant director of fundraising at Breast Cancer Care, will be responsible for a team of 12 national and regional fundraisers.

She has previously worked at both Victim Support and Age Concern as a corporate fundraiser.

Leigh Mason has been appointed to the new position of head of London and regional fundraising at Kids, after a year as a freelance fundraiser for corporate clients. He will be developing community-based fundraising networks for Kids London and supporting its fundraisers elsewhere in the UK.

Mendoza said she was looking forward to strengthening major income streams for Kids. "The charity has some tremendous fundraising successes, but there remains plenty of potential for further development."
