Fundraising News: Magazine to stir up funds for Water Aid

House & Garden magazine is organising a midsummer fundraising drive involving garden parties organised by readers, for the development charity Water Aid.

Water Aid is the official charity for The Daily Telegraph/House & Garden fair at London's Olympia on 24-27 June, the annual showcase which attracts tens of thousands of visitors.

The charity will have a major presence at the fair, with exhibits as well as a sale of photographs of Africa and Asia by photographer Brent Stirton.

House & Garden editor Susan Crewe said: "We are aiming to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds - it only costs £15 to give a person in the developing world a lasting supply of safe water and sanitation."
