FUNDRAISING NEWS: VSO director takes a fall to raise funds

VSO's UK director Debbie Ramsay will complete a tandem skydive from 10,000 feet next month, to help the charity raise £200,000.

Ramsay will be among 200 volunteers and supporters to freefall for 5,000 feet at 120 mph on 20-21 March for the charity's Spice Up Your Life campaign.

The money raised will go towards sending volunteers from the international development charity to southern Africa to help tackle the HIV/Aids crisis.

"Jumping out of a plane from a great height is not something I'm looking forward to," said Ramsay. "But at least I'll have the support of everybody at VSO."
