Fundraising: The things they do - Bike hike

Richard Barnes has joined up with brothers Sam and Ben Towndrow to raise £20,000 for Excellent Development, the charity that helps disadvantaged communities in Africa, by cycling to Africa and back. On the first leg of the journey to Morocco, Richard was accompanied by Sam - on the way back, Ben took over. They are due back tomorrow, with Richard having completed the 3,000-mile round trip in 30 days. His brothers were disappointed not to have been able to do the whole journey, but work commitments prevented it. Richard said: "The ride will be gruelling, but the money we raise will make it worthwhile."
