Futurebuilders forges partnership with RBS

Futurebuilders has formed a partnership with the Royal Bank of Scotland to offer financial support to the third sector.

The two organisations will jointly finance projects and refer potential clients to one another.

Futurebuilders has mainly offered loans worth £144m to 280 organisations. Funded by the Office of the Third Sector, the loans are designed to help voluntary organisations bid for public service contracts.

The organisation has previously worked with RBS to help finance Futurebuilders investees TreeHouse, the East Midlands Community Dental Association and the RNID.

"We're excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with RBS to help more third sector organisations access the finance they need to help them win public sector contracts," said Sue Peters, managing director of investments at Futurebuilders.

"The team at RBS has a lot of experience of dealing with the third sector and we are looking forward to establishing a mutually beneficial relationship with them."

Futurebuilders said it was open to similar partnerships with other banks.
