Futurebuilders hits the road

A series of roadshows to help third sector organisations bid for investment is being staged by Futurebuilders.

Eleven events will take place across England from 3 October to 28 November. They will be aimed at councils for voluntary service, infrastructure bodies and local authority third sector advisors who provide guidance to third sector organisations on how to prepare applications for investment.

Staff from Futurebuilders will give presentations on issues such as new funding and changes to the application process.

Futurebuilders England, funded by the Office of the Third Sector, is a £215m fund designed to help voluntary organisations bid for public service contacts. Since 2003 it has offered more than £138m to nearly 270 organisations.

"We're committed to providing support, both financial and practical, that will help third sector organisations to win public sector contracts," said Jonathan Lewis, chief executive of Futurebuilders England. "These roadshows offer a great opportunity for support organisations to hear from us directly about our plans to help more third sector organisations win contracts to deliver public service contracts as quickly as possible."
