A free guide designed to help arts fundraisers secure financial backing will be published in March.
The guide, Private Investment in Culture, produced by Arts & Business, a charity that encourages relationships between business and the arts, is designed to help fundraisers target potential funding partners.
The six-chapter guide includes data from the organisation's annual survey of individual, corporate, trust and foundation funding of the UK arts sector.
It also offers guidance on developing media strategies, the types of sponsorship different art forms attract and a forecast on the future of sponsorship.
Verity Haines, arts director at the charity, said: "We want fundraisers to be able to use this in a hands-on way as evidence for why the proposition they're making is the right one for the business or individual they're targeting."
