The team began as novices taking part in the Lewisham Kickz project. They now perform in front of paying audiences and recently danced during the half-time interval at the New Den, Millwall FC's home ground.

The awards are organised by the Football Foundation, the Metropolitan Police and the Premier League. They are designed to recognise the efforts of young people who have made a difference to their communities as part of the Kickz programme.

Kickz has more than 18,000 registered participants aged between 12 and 18-years-old living in deprived communities across the country. It offers courses and classes in sport, music and arts as well as educational workshops.
