Voluntary sector organisations have until tomorrow to submit entries for the Third Sector Excellence Awards, which celebrate innovative work and best practice.

The deadline has been extended by one day to allow for entries into this year's awards, which will be presented at a black-tie dinner in London on 28 September.

There are 24 awards, ranging from finance and governance to fundraising and communications. The awards, in their seventh year, include a new category for Charity Chair of the Year.

The North Devon Hospice scooped two awards at last year's ceremony, which also included prizes for WWF-UK and the National Union of Students.

Full details are at www.thirdsectorexcellenceawards.com. Entries can be made online only.
