Latest guides to local trusts published

The Directory of Social Change has published the latest edition of its regional Guides to Local Trusts, which contain details of 2,580 trusts offering a total of £375m in funding.

There are separate guides to local trusts in Greater London, the midlands, the north of England and the south of England.

The guides list trusts by county or borough. They are indexed and offer advice on making effective applications. Relevant advisory organisations are also included.

"It makes good sense to target trusts that operate in your region because many are restricted to funding in the local area or prefer to do so," said Tom Traynor, author of the Greater London guide. "Securing support from local funders is an effective way to help establish your charity's profile and get yourself known within the fundraising community."

The guides cost £34.95 each.
