Mary Rance joins Contact the Elderly as chief executive

- Contact the Elderly has appointed Mary Rance as chief executive. She joins the national charity from UKinbound, a trade association for the UK tourism sector.

- Jillian Barker will become the new director of learning and participation at the Royal Opera House in January. She was director of education, information and access at the National Gallery.

- Anna Khan is the new chief executive officer of Welcare, which supports families in south London and east Surrey. She was director of Relate Richmond, Kingston and Hounslow and takes over from Anne-Marie Garton.

Alastair Clegg- The Prince's Initiative for Mature Enterprise, which helps out-of-work people aged over 50 to set up businesses, has appointed Alastair Clegg (right) as chief executive. He joins the charity after holding positions at the Ministry of Justice and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Chris Wade- Chris Wade (right) has been appointed director of engagement at the Motor Neurone Disease Association. He was head of volunteering at Victim Support and is a trustee of the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.
