Two new training seminars to help charities apply for public sector contracts are being held by the NCVO. The training sessions will address funding agreements and tendering agreements. They will be held on 24 September and 22 October. For more information, visit

A working group has been formed to assess how cooperatives will apply for the Social Enterprise Mark, the quality assurance mark for the sector. Rise, the social enterprise body for south-west England, will work with Cooperatives-SW and Co-operatives UK to assess a set of indicators to measure the social impact of cooperative applicants. Some cooperatives have said they fear they will find it difficult to qualify for the mark.
