White has taken on the role after holding the position on an interim basis since February. She was previously chief executive of Stopover, a subsidiary of homelessness charity Centrepoint, before which she was chief executive of the English Churches Housing Group. White replaces Roger Clarke, who has retired after eight years in the role. "I am honoured and privileged to be appointed," said White. "The association has been making a difference to so many people's lives for more than 70 years. I will be taking up the baton to ensure even more people benefit."
