Movers: Kathryn Llewellyn, assistant director, Pump Aid

Kathryn Llewellyn has been appointed assistant director at Pump Aid, the charity that works in sub-Saharan Africa to bring clean water, sanitation and hygiene education to rural communities.

She joins after two and a half years at Action for Southern Africa, where she worked as a campaigns officer before moving to head of campaigns and then being promoted to acting director.

"I am thrilled to be part of a rapidly growing charity," said Llewellyn. "I am impressed with Pump Aid's approach to development and feel many charities could learn a lot from its approach. The way in which it empowers communities through its simple and appropriate technology is truly amazing."
