New chairman for GuideStar International

Luc Tayart de Borms, managing director of the King Baudouin Foundation, has been elected chairman of GuideStar International.

De Borms, former president of the European Foundation Centre, replaces founding chairman William Dietel, who has retired after three years.

GuideStar International has also appointed three new trustees. NCVO chief executive Stuart Etherington has joined the board. He was a founding director of GuideStar UK and is chair of the GuideStar UK advisory board.

Anne Wade, vice-president of investment firm Capital International, and Miklos Marshall, regional director of Transparency International, complete the new contingent.
