New trustees and fellows at Institute of Fundraising

Mena Gainpaulsingh and Tanya Steele join the board

The Institute of Fundraising has announced the election of two new trustees and the appointment of three new honorary fellows.

Mena Gainpaulsingh, a senior consultant at the International Fundraising Consultancy, and Tanya Steele, director of supporter relations and fundraising at Save the Children, have been elected as trustees by members of the institute. The appointments are for three years. Trustee John Baguley has also been re-elected to the board.

Third Sector columnist and consultant Valerie Morton and fundraising consultants Mike Caudrey, who founded BlueSpark Consulting, and Isobel Michael have been appointed as fellows.

The title is an honorary one awarded in recognition of their contribution to the advancement of fundraising practice and to the development of the institute.

Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the Institute of Fundraising, announced the appointments at the institute's annual general meeting yesterday.

In a statement, he said: "The achievements of our new fellows are varied, but they have all acted in the best interests of fundraising and the institute. I'm also certain that the fundraising knowledge and experience of our two new trustees will guide the institute in the right direction over the next few years."
