The Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health has been shut down after its finance director was jailed for stealing from the organisation

One of Prince Charles’s charities has been dissolved after its finance director was jailed for stealing more than £250,000 from the organisation.

The Companies House website lists the Prince’s Foundation for Integrated Health as having dissolved today, and the charity’s website has been removed.

The charity, which promoted complementary and holistic medicine, called in police in 2010 after its auditors spotted a hole in its accounts.

It issued a statement in April 2010 saying its planned closure had been brought forward as a result of an investigation into alleged fraud.

The foundation’s former finance director, George Gray, was jailed for three years for taking the money in August 2010. A 54-year-old woman who had been arrested was released with no further action taken.

The foundation was removed from the Charity Commission’s register on 23 November 2011.
