Anti-bullying charity has been associated with the News International title since 2007
The charity Beatbullying has suspended its partnership with the News of the World pending the outcome of investigations into phone hacking at the paper.
The charity ran two campaigns with the paper, called Click Bullying Into Touch, designed to tackle cyber-bullying and strengthen anti-bullying policies, and Never Again, a joint fundraising appeal set up to end bullying and child suicide.
A Beatbullying spokeswoman said its supporters were "deeply shocked by the revelations, which are untenable to a charity that seeks to protect children".
She said: "Beatbullying is suspending its Click Bullying Into Touch and Never Again anti-bullying campaigns with the News of the World until the outcome of investigations are made clear."
Beatbullying has been in partnership with the News of the World since 2007 after it approached Andy Coulson, the editor at the time, to help push the issue of bullying up the political and media agenda.
The organisation is the second charity to announce it is cutting ties with the News of the World today. The Royal British Legion dropped the paper as a campaigning partner after the disclosure that relatives of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan might have had their phones hacked by a private investigator working for the newspaper.
