Shaw is left with advisory role as charities merge

The former chief executive of John Grooms has been given a high-level advisory role in the new organisation created by the disability charity's merger with the Shaftesbury Society.
Reverend Michael Shaw, who has been chief executive at John Grooms for 16 years, will work as an adviser on campaigning and fundraising issues until March 2008 while the charity ramps up its campaigning.
